Kurt Schlichter’s good point about ‘gun free zones’

You don’t see mass shootings at gun shows, police stations or NRA conventions. Bad people go where they know there are defenseless victims. “Gun free” means that the innocents are defense free.

My two cents

I don’t write much about guns—it’s not the focus of my blog—but gun control is often an interest of the humanistic state (and its supporters). I hadn’t thought of Schlichter’s point like that before, but I do agree with him. Elsewhere in his article, he refers to magical thinking of liberals—I hadn’t thought to apply that term to them until now.

It’s interesting how gun shows are safe places. How ironic that children have a greater risk of getting shot while being at school.

The quote reminds me of that poster with portraits of Adolf Hitler, Fidel Castro, Josef Stalin, Idi Amin, Mao Tse-Tung, Pol Pot, and Kim Jong-Il. The poster said “The experts agree: gun control works”.

Then it added a picture of Barack Obama.
