Four Christians were thrown out of Veteran’s Stadium during the Philadelphia Phillies’ first ever “Gay Community Day” on August 12. The Christians were escorted out of the park after displaying a large banner from their center field seats, at the bottom of the first inning, which read, “HOMOSEXUALITY IS SIN, CHRIST CAN SET YOU FREE”…Strangely, the Christians were refunded their money and given four free tickets to another Phillies game of their choosing. They intend on using the tickets to once again bring the WORD OF GOD to the fans and attendees at the stadium later this season.
My two cents
Wow, I would never have thought to put up a banner like that. I find it interesting how the stadium’s management gave them other tickets. Sounds like they didn’t want to make a scene when escorting the people out. I wonder what next match they turned up to. I also wonder if they’ve done banners quoting other verses as well. If I recall correctly, were the people who made the banner known as the “Philadelphia 5”? I like the Repent America website—the angle it’s coming from, the language used, some photos of them reading the Bible in public, and so on.
